Hippo’s name is derived from the word Hippocampus, the part of the brain responsible for storing memories. From this wordplay, I derived Hippo’s lovable hippo mascots. These brightly colored, chubby hosts happily guide the user through the simple steps of using Hippo’s services and embody the brand’s playful and wholesome voice and core values.
