Liminal Figures is a group publication featuring the capstone research of thirteen different designers. The work documented here examines design’s ability to transform physical space, how the spaces we inhabit impact our design practices, and opportunities to communicate personal histories and metamorphoses through the structural modes of graphic design.
Spreads featuring my senior capstone research Liminal Figures commemorates the ways we have embraced transitional phases in our lives and navigated a state of liminality as we move between inspiration and realization. Through our writing, project documentation, and new imagery created for this publication, we celebrate design’s capacity to illuminate that which is in the process of becoming and shaping our interconnected future.Risograph-printed insert located in the center of the publication

In lieu of a traditional exhibition, we celebrated the completion of the book with a launch party at SouthEnd Brewing Co. in Boone, North Carolina.
We outsourced our printing from Mixam, but we constructed the books ourselves. Here’s some behind the scenes documentation!
